About Project
Iran Water Resources Management Company has set forth a development plan entitled “Designing a Water Resources Measurement Network”. According to its prerequisite, Regional Water Company of Khorasan Razavi Province has put the study of water budget update project in its priorities; the study area is situated in the central desert watershed of Khorasan Razavi, North and South Khorasan, Semnan, Isfahan, Yazd and Tehran. The contract entitled “Water Budget Updating in the Watershed of Dasht-e-Kavir” was concluded in 2012 between Khorasan Razavi Regional Water Company and Asarab Consulting Engineers Co. Dasht-e-Kavir basin with an area of 523,226 km2 is the largest water basin of second grade in the country located in the central plateau of Iran. The basin consisted of 50 study areas.
Actual services:
- Preparation and compilation of meteorological reports
- Producing temperature, precipitation and evaporation maps in ArcGIS environment
- Performing hydrological studies and modeling using HEC-HMS Software
- Map preparation and report compilation of surface and ground water status
- Map preparation and report compilation of surface and ground water resources’ quality
- Preparation of hydroclimatic balance inventories by plains and heights of the study areas
- Water balance inventory preparation of groundwater for alluvial aquifers
- Preparation of total water inventory for each study area
