About Project
To increase efficiency of irrigation and drainage plan in Arasbaran, the opportunities and threats of aquaculture in the dam was analyzed with a sustainable development approach. In this project, reports are presented in two general sections, including basic studies and technical studies, as follows: The report prepared in the study consists of two general sections, the primary part includes the study of climate and meteorology, hydrology, geology, soil surveying, the status of irrigation and drainage of the downstream network, the economic and social situation and the status of the regional fisheries activities. In the next section aquaculture technical studies, the limnology situation and the production capacity of the reservoir dam, reproduction and fish farming in inland water resources, environmental impacts and financial parameters of the plans and the potential for fish farming in the downstream of the dam were investigated.
Description of actual services provided by your staff within the assignment:
- Seasonally sampling and analysing physicochemical and biological parameters of water at 3 points
- Determining the natural production potential of the lake such as biomass, phytoplankton, zooplankton, benthos, and so on
- Investigating baby fish release rate and time for different species and sizes (phytophagous species, carp, Amur, etc.), as well as fishing rate and time
- Developing utilization program with cooperation with the fishery cooperative and Regional Water Company, DOE and Fisheries organization of East Azerbaijan Province
