Detailed Design of Sartarhan Koohdasht Pumping Stations, Water Transmission Lines and Reservoirs

The responsibility of design of pumping stations, water transmission line and the reservoirs of Sartarhan Koohdasht has been entrusted to Asarab Consulting Engineers Co. This project was set forth to supply the water needed for agricultural purposes. This project was studied and planned in form of drip and pressurized irrigation network in Koohdasht of Lorestan province. The length of the project was 5 Km and the pumping station had a height of 300 meters. The pumping station discharges 1.7 CM/S and pumping was done in two stages.

Actual services:

• Estimation of agricultural water demand in the region using CROPWAT software
• Provision of irrigation plan including irrigation calendar for drip and pressurized irrigation
• Hydraulic design of the head and settling basin of the reservoir in the AutoCAD environment and providing work drawings
• Calculation of water hammering in pumping stations applying Water Hammer software
• Designing hydromechanical equipment of pumping stations
• Designing electromechanical equipment of pumping stations
• Calculating the diameter and length of pipes and connections in Excel environment
